Loreto is an exploration in a Paradise of history and wonderful landscapes. As the first capital of the Californias, it became the first evangelization site for Jesuit missionaries. Beside this mission, in the heart of the historic center, is the Museum of Jesuit Missions of Loreto (Museo de las Misiones Jesuiticas de Loreto), run by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
